So
close to a cancel! We had three people back out at the very last
second, my server at work literally blew-up, reports due today that were
lost on the hard drive crash, what a day!! I'm in better spirits
now though (...beer...) and a big thanks to Lisa for the clean-up,
appreciate it! We're a go! Even though a few have tried to
leave us dry, we've had new players adding even till now... We'll
catch you 'Early-Birds' tonight. Safe weekend all.

Was
the SuperFTP
down!? Yes, it was. We had to down the server overnight for
some routine maintenance, that is to say, cleaning of files (...some
real dust bunnies in there...) virus scan (...14,000 files can take
some time...) and of course a nice thorough defrag (...all the fragging
on the Abattoir
has caught up with it...). It took
the server almost 6 hours to defrag 45Gig (...there were gibbs all over
the place...) but we're back up and pumping full throttle.
The
weekend is soon upon us, thus BTM11,
we have several new people coming to this one, so everyone be on their
best behaviour <GriN!>.
As usual, the 'Early-Bird'
will start around 7:00pm if you want to grab your favourite spot.
As far as supper goes, let's get a vote in, we now have patio space to
use, so who's in for BBq on saturday?

Quake3:Arena
has a new update, take note... Delete your old Quake3 Test, do not install
this patch (...they should never have called it a 'patch'...) over
your previous version, it will not work! (...thanks Tempest for stopping
me from downloading the whole damned thing again!..). Erase your
folder and run the 1.08 setup. Available on the SuperFTP
of course (...thanks for getting it up there Avarice...).
