  Just
like being at the Gardens except the Beer's colder and the service is better
(...cheaper too!..) Our own Bleacher-Creach tries out the
"Abattoir Best Seat in the House"
for the Leaf's game. What fun... Sitting front row centre in
a actual Maple Leaf's Garden Chair, stadium sound cranked, all the cold,
sweet beer you can handle, your own trays of endless snacks catered to
you and a nice cold Häagen-Dazs® in the third period! I'm
in heaven (...now with the Eric Lindros crap behind us, the Leaf's can
concentrate on perhaps winning a couple games!..) Don't miss
the action tonight as the Leaf's pound Lindros, er', I mean the Canucks...
Game on!
We're
a day away now for BTM23 "Tournament Edition".
It'll also be your last chance to taunt Sgt.Slaughter who'll be moving
out during the BTM,
don't forget to throw chicken. Remember, you don't have to be on
the list for this one to get in, spectators are welcome to join in on the
fun and the Tournament... There just might be a "surprise ending"
to this Tournament too... But we can't say anything right now! <Evil-GriN!>

boy!! The wait is over... The "Abattoir
Best Seat in the House" has just arrived!
Complete with it's Certificate of Authenticity, the Red Section chair,
straight from Maple Leaf's Garden is a real lucky catch... As you
may recall, the Leaf's last historic game at the Gardens (...after 68
years...) was played on February 13th,
1999... Now, just 1 year and 1 day after
the 13th, our
seat arrives, and guess what? It's from section #5, Row K and it's
seat
number 13!! This has simply GOT to be
a good omen! What a great collectors item. As planned (...and
suggested by Redneck...) we'll draw for who gets it during the games,
that person is fed and beered and pampered with snacks and food, then a
Häagen-Dazs® in the third period. If you want to come out,
we're always open for a Leaf's game, see you Saturday!

 Take
a flying guess at who just received their Cable Bill? Can you believe
they've still not issued a credit, instead, I get the standardized "Final
Disconnection Notice" along with all the details of what it'll cost me
to get reconnected after they axe my Internet. (...now picture
yours truly with veins starting to inflate on the temples of my forehead
and my ears turning red...) Man are they a glutton for punishment
at Cogeco.
As I put my coat back on to head into Burlington and make a flaming entrance
at Cogeco,
I decided it may be best to afford them one last phone call before I unleashed
on them. The call was placed at 6:22pm. Sylvia (...operator
221...) was the lucky recipient, I asked for her supervisor immediately
but she insisted she may be able to help. A short re-hash of the
letter below insued. She said she would talk to her supervisor and
call me back before 9pm tonight with an answer. Before letting her
off the phone, I informed the only "answer" I would accept is a full credit,
she assured me a prompt resolve. The phone rang about 6 minutes later.

Now with that fun behind us, let's talk BTM23! It's been decided to hold the tournament on Q3:Alliance. Here's the scoop:
Another
piece of news has hit the floor at the Abattoir...
Turns out Sgt.Slaughter's moving out! Shelly and Steve will be getting
a place together, we wish them luck (...and thanks for the 2 weeks notice
Steve! Appreciate it!..) So, one room available at the
Abattoir.
Benefits include a non-exhaustable supply of Beer, some great equipment
to play with, automatic inclusion in every BTM
and Abattoir
event (...included in rent...) plus crystal clear cable <GriN!> |
