 What
a week from hell! I broke my own rule about computer upgrades before
a BTM and went
for a new dual-bios 1Ghz, 512Meg system and low and behold, no updates
to the LAN Minutes,
no Abattoir Morning Haha!!,
no email, no ICQ... What a hell storm! Sgt.Slaughter
helped out by flashing almost everything in my new machine that had a chip
(...I left the room, I hate when he flashes...) and I think I moved
almost every card around to try and get Windblows
ME to use IRQs properly... The combination
of tweaks, tricks and kicks (...more of the latter than I care to admit
in a public forum...) it took to make Windows settle down was staggering!
Regardless, with little more than a day to spare, we’re back and set for
this weekend’s action! Special Note!! There have been three
last minute cancellations, so if you know anyone who was interested in
coming to BTM25
but didn’t sign-up because it was full, get ‘em on the phone now and drag
‘em out! We have three open slots as of this morning! (...besides,
it’s raining all weekend, perfect LAN Party weather!..) See you
early birds tonight, for the rest of you... Catch you tomorrow!

only are we overdue once again for the Minutes
update, we're friggin' way too overdue for a Stanley Cup and it appears
we’re going to stay that way. What a disappointment game seven was
against the defending champions, New Jersey. I’ve never seen the
Abattoir
so quite during a hockey game... I guess they just didn’t want it
bad enough. Looks like (...as bet in the Morning
Haha!!..) I now have to drink Bea Arthur’s
bath water! Thanks a lot, Leafs! So... What’s going on
around the ‘ol Abattoir
now... Do we watch Japanese Ping-Pong?
The Abattoir has now officially assimilated Mr. John Creaturo (...Creach...) Into the collective this month. John’s taken residence in the spare room (...now known as “Creaches’ Corner”...) and as such will enjoy all the incredible benefits of Abattoir residency, the in-house network, direct connect to the Abattoir Servers and SuperFTP Server, unlimited beer supply, free admission to all BTMs, the fragrant emissions from Stuii’s litterbox... Welcome aboard, Creach! Just a couple weeks to go before “RuntFest Rampage!” is here, looking forward to this one, big time! If you’re not in but still want to come, we only have one person on the Waiting List, so get your name in now, there’s a good chance you’ll make it in when both Zapco and Bloodbath fail to show again (...and thus get themselves suspended for the season faster than you can say Domi...). Must send out Kudos to Cogeco (...yes, you read right...) Cable at the Abattoir has never ever been so pumped, we’re hitting download speeds in excess of 225k/sec in the last month and it’s been pretty much rock-solid... Whatever you’re doing down there, keep it up! (...okay, you happy... After our little Billing-Battle they asked if I would start saying nice things about them again on the Abattoir, guess there’s a lot of people at Cogeco that read the Abattoir!..) I’m going to take a day off work and try to get some updating to the Abattoir done, I know many of you have sent in Profile information for the Profiles Page, I’ll be getting to that first thing... Sorry for the delays, but now that the Hockey season’s behind us (...still hurts to say it...) and Summer’s more or less here, we’ll try to be a little more regular with our updates! (...bet you’ve heard that before!..) We’re also still receiving emails from people who’ve not been able to find the hidden link on the Main Page of the Abattoir...
