Nothing
beats the summer like a nice day at the cottage... Who would have
thought a computer, beer drinking geek would be "outdoors compatible",
but then again, beer's a major component of cottages, so I guess I fit
in. What a wonderful weekend we've left behind and the week's only
getting better (...weather wise that is...) BTM
wise however, it seems we're not a full house yet! We had a couple
drop outs today so as it stands, there's still five open ports left to
be filled! I hear Hasmed's
chicken-shit to come out (...after hearing of the thrashing I've been
giving in RuntFest, no doubt...) Either that or his new wife won't
let him out <GriN!>...
Not too sure which, he's not answering the question. Like we said
before, if you know anyone who wants in, tell them to head over to the
Abattoir
and sign-up pronto!
Wow...
Can you believe this, it's only been a week since our last "sighting" and
already we can add another BMW to the Abattoir
Wall of Fame! I know you'll not believe
this unless a photo was produced, but low and behold... Here is another
BMW driver who did a legal lane change, as captured on the 401 while heading
to the cottage last weekend... Again, if you're the owner of this
fine machine, please contact us, another Bagel winner.
Wheel
steer you in the right direction on July 7th with this handy little addition
to any gaming system… Our V4 Force Feedback
Wheel arrived and it’s itching to be used!
All names will go into a hat and we’ll draw for the V4
at 4:00pm during BTM26 “SummerSPAM”…
A big “Thank-You” once again to the good folks at InterAct
Accessories for their most generous support… Again, it’s much
appreciated. We’ve also contacted Lamborghini
about sponsoring, but we’ve yet to hear back… We’ll keep you posted on
that.
Great
news… Susanne Carey (...don't call her "Susanna"...) of InterAct
Accessories has responded after speaking to her National Sales Manager
and will be sending the Abattoir
another V4 Force Feedback Wheel
as a giveaway at BTM26!
A big thanks to InterAct
for their support, it’s much appreciated! (…Always nice to walk
away from a LAN Party with something other than a hangover and “Nintendo
Finger Cramps”…) Although these controllers are sold out, we've
been informed that Futureshop
will in fact be receiving more stock soon, so don't miss your chance to
pick-up a great Wheel! If there's any other type of controller you
may be hunting for, check out InterAct's
web site… They make it all! (...I was just on Futureshop.ca
and a pop-up contest window came up saying "Buy OnLine and you're automatically
entered to win!" Then below in small writing it said "No Purchase
Necessary", how the hell does that work!?..)
Just
a few hours after the date for BTM26
was announced, we're already filling up… Get your name in now to
reserve your port.
Anyone
care to race an F1 car at BTM26?
At the last BTM,
LoneFart
brought over F1 Championship Racing,
it was a big hit with many people… So much a hit, Creach
hit the net after the BTM
and purchased four V4 Force Feedback Wheels
from InterAct!
These wheels are a hoot, there's numerous reviews out on it like this
one calling it an outstanding device for $149 which rivals the $300
Microsoft Wheel (...there's a wheel you just know is going to
make you crash!..). Needless to say, we'll give it an official
pounding at BTM26
and some lucky Abattoir
patron will win the random draw for a V4 Force
Feedback Wheel! (…providing we're able
to obtain another, they're sold out, but we've contacted the manufacturer
directly…) We've expanded our reservation page for two additional
ports so don't be left out, this will be a BBQ festival (…if summer
ever arrives…) with F1 racing and our SummerSpam
Champion Tournament in Quake 3 Arena.
The date's been set for July 7th so get your name in now. Jason (SilentBob)
Rees just emailed me asking if we can play this
on the Abattoir's LAN,
your comments?
In other “wedding news”, our good friend Jeff (Viking) Walker is getting hitched as well! We received an invitation in the mail just the other day… I think this warrants a road trip to New Jersey, time to crash a wedding! <GriN!> Glad
to also say my new system's up and running now... It only took about
two weeks to reload everything back up to “happy” level… What an
ass-pain. Oh yeah, happy belated birthday, Creach! |
