DECEMBER 2001 MINUTES ARCHIVE
 Well
I hope everyone had a great Christmas, I don’t think I need to see anymore
food in the next week or two (…not that I got to eat any of it with
Evan around, sickening really to watch him inhale…) Take a look
at what showed-up in my basket of bootie this year! Isis
spent a fortune and it was months in the making, but take a peek at this
custom made one-of-kind pendant! The quarter sized plate is Solid
White Gold, with a Solid Gold Quake logo bonded to it and engraved with
MeatMan
4Ever on the back… What a beautiful
and unique gift! (…No, it’s not going to be given away at the
Abattoir
LAN Parties…) I can’t tell you how
much I love it, very thoughtful, thank-you sweetheart! I was so excited
to show someone, but it would seem just about everyone but myself already
knew about it!
So…
Are the holiday’s over yet!? It would be nice to get a good night’s
sleep some time soon, but I guess New Year’s Eve is fast approaching now.
We’ll be doing the same as before, nothing,
and we’ll bloody well enjoy doing it too! If you have no plans for
New Year’s Eve and would enjoy doing nothing,
please feel free to join us, there’s plenty of nothing
to go around. Just let us know by email if you’re planning on coming
over for New Years, we don’t want to run short on nothing.

We’ve been getting many emails and ICQ’s regarding the Abattoir SuperFTP+ Server. Here’s the skinny: It’s working, you just can’t see “all of it”. Nothing’s been erased, so don’t panic… It would seem that Serv-U does not quite do what it claims it does in it’s own documentation. There’s fewer things more frustrating than following a programs own documents to the “T” and the friggin’ thing doesn’t work. Such is life… We’ll find a “workaround”. For the time being, be sure to check the Main Page of the Abattoir for the current IP of the Server. If I get one more email asking me for the IP, you’re friggin’ Fired! We’ll keep you up to date on how the “workaround” is coming. Guess it's a little irrelevant to make an official announcement about BTM29's date, it's already full! Don't dispaire, if you still want in, get to that Sign-Up Page and fill 'er out! The Waiting List is still fairly dry! That’s

tonight, it’ll be the first time her parents have met mine and the rest
of my family (…”that’ll be nice”…) See how many awkward moments
you can count on the MeatCAM
tonight after 7:30pm… She’s been cooking and cleaning all weekend
(…last night, she didn’t stop in the kitchen till 2:30am…)
Geez, all I wanted was Cheeze Wiz
on crackers.

Just a quick note here about the Abattoir SuperFTP+ Server… You people are crazy! Another 60 Gig filled in no time. Back off fer cryin’ out loud! We’re working on the Server right now and there’ll be more space in a matter of minutes, we apologize for the brief interruption in service (…you’ll receive your refund in the mail…) That’s
it, just a quick and simple update, I know there’s not been too much activity
in the LAN Minutes
this month, but like the last post said, it’s been a hell of a month for
me.
 It’s
BTM
time!! This month has been a hell-fire for myself personally, so
I’m really looking forward to shooting a few people in the head!
Let’s rev up those computers and let the hunt begin! Our skilled
set-up team has been at it all day getting the Abattoir
ready for a breaker-popping good time, please be sure to check the BTM
Reservations Page to confirm your reservation (…especially if you’re
on the Waiting List…). We’re also going to be treated to a great
Hockey
Game tomorrow night as we watch the Leaf’s
dismember the Habs…
I made a bet with Silent Bob the Hab Fan, if the Habs actually do the unthinkable
and beat our Leaf’s tomorrow, the entire 2002
BTM Season would be on the house! If
they lost, Silent Bob has to run around the Abattoirblock
in just his underwear. He said he’d take me up on it if he could
make it out, but he can’t do it… Would have made for some great pics
in the LAN Minutes!
We’ll

set-up, the rest of you, we’ll catch you tomorrow! The Abattoir
Servers (…including the Super
FTP+ Server...) will be brought inside
the Firewall tonight, so it’ll be unreachable for the BTM
Weekend, look for it back online Sunday morning.
